Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling
Here you can sign your Master Promissory Note and complete Entrance Counseling. You will need your FSA ID o access this website. If you have forgotten your FSA ID, you can find helpful information here.
Exit Counseling
If you received Federal Student Aid loans during your attendance at the Academy, you must complete Exit Counseling. This is an opportunity to remind yourself of your rights and responsibilities as a borrower in preparation for your loan repayment. A staff member of the Financial Aid office will inform you when it is time to complete. You can complete exit counseling here.

FAFSA Tips
Completing the FAFSA is free and quick, generally taking less than 30 minutes for students to complete. Beware of any websites that charge or ask for a form of payment!
We have complied a list of the most popular questions future and current students need assistance with when completing the FAFSA. Below are the correct responses, regardless of what program you are enrolled into or interested in:
a. The degree or certificate: certificate or diplma (of less than 2 years)
b. Our school code: 041836
c. Housing plan: off campus OR with family
d. Enrollment status: full time OR ¾ time
The FAFSA does ask questions pertaining to you (date of birth, social security number, driver’s license number, etc.) and your finances (tax return, cash savings, etc.). Depending on your situation, you may be required to include similar information regarding your parent(s) or spouse. HEERF
Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF)
Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to provide some relief from the economic fallout related to the COVID-19 pandemic. One element of CARES Act funding is the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). HEERF is funding provided to Institutions of Higher Education as part of the CARES Act to assist current students for expenses related to disruptions to their education due to COVID-19.
Acknowledgement of Funds
The Salon Professional Academy of Kenosha has signed and returned to the U.S. Department of Education the Certification and Agreement to receive the Student and Institutional Portion of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund. The institution further acknowledges that it will use no less than fifty percent of the funds received under section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to its students.
Instructions to Students
At The Salon Professional Academy of Kenosha, $149,246 has been allocated to the academy. $74,623 of the previously mentioned amount has been allocated to assist students through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund. The academy will have an application process to facilitate the distribution of funds. Applications will be considered and approved based on documented need and expenses due to COVID-19. Students who are approved will receive a grant equal to $2,000.
Notification to Students

Application
Students seeking consideration for assistance from the HEERF are advised to complete the HEERF application found below. Students who apply must attest, under penalty of the law, that the expenses detailed in the application are true and accurate and be able to produce documentation of expenses incurred. The application will be available from December 1, 2020 to Dec 31, 2020. Notification of awards will be sent 7-14 business days after the approval of a submitted application and funds will be emailed to the email address on file with an attached echeck to the student no later than 14 business days from the date their application is approved.
